The NFL has made some serious changes to its “Cupcakes of the Week” feature this season, and now the NFL Players Association is going after the league’s newest member.
The NFLPA, which represents players on the field, has launched a petition on Change.org, urging NFL owners to take the Cupcake ClipArt campaign “very seriously.”
The petition is asking the NFL to take action against the league, which is a member of the Players Association.
The petition states:”We want to make sure the Cupcakes of our lives are represented in this campaign.
As fans, we are all members of the NFLPA.
We deserve better.”
In a statement, the NFL said it was aware of the petition, and that it has a “zero tolerance policy for violence against our players and coaches.
We are taking the matter very seriously and will be working with the NFL on a swift resolution.”
The NFL has already taken action against a number of teams in the past few years, including the San Francisco 49ers, Indianapolis Colts, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which were fined $100,000 each for violating the league concussion protocol.
